We get a lot of very good questions at Kidz Club and perhaps this page can help answer any that you have. If however, you still have questions, call or e-mail us: e-mail: kidzclub@tampabay.rr.com
Can my friend use my punch card? Do I have to stay with my child? Do I have to buy a 5 visit card for each child? May I bring a child from another family (i.e. cousins, best friends, out of town visitors)? Can my nanny or the child's grandparent attend without me? May I bring my own food to our Birthday Party? Will my child do well in a structured music class? How do I know when to visit Kidz Club?
Can my friend use my punch card? No, each family must use their own punch card, or pay the daily fee. The punch cards are to be used exclusively by the family whose name is on the card. There are no exceptions. Punch cards are non-transferable.
Do I have to wear socks? Yes, it is a Kidz Club policy that all adults and children wear socks. If you happen to forget them, we will have them available for purchase.
Do I have to register for classes? Some Kidz Club classes are pre-registration only. However for the drop-in classes, you may pay as you go, or buy a 5 visit punch card to save some money. See pricing page for pricing information.
Are there membership fees? No, there are not any membership fees at Kidz Club. We feel that every family should have the opportunity to be a member just by walking in the door.
Should I call ahead? It is not necessary to call ahead at this time. Although some classes will gain in popularity over time, it may be best to arrive a little early to guarantee a spot. 10 minutes or so is suggested to get your shoes off, pay for the class, and get yourself organized in order for the classes to start on time.
Do I have to stay with my child? Yes, parents/caregivers are required to stay on the premises with the child at all times. It is also required that you know of your child's whereabouts at all times. Please make sure the play equipment is used as it is intended. We want to keep all of our families safe while they visit Kidz Club.
Do I have to buy a 5 visit card for each child? No, Kidz Club charges per family, not per child. You only need one 5 visit card for the whole family.
May I bring a child from another family (i.e. cousins, best friends, out of town visitors)? You may bring a child from another family, but that child must pay separately. Only children from the same immediate family are included in the family rate.
Can my nanny or the child's grandparent attend without me? Yes, caregivers of any kind from the same family are able to bring the children into the facility and use the 5 visit card for that family.
How long are the classes? Playgroups, Arts & Crafts and Music w/Mar. are all about 45 minutes in length.
Does the 5 visit card expire? No, it does not have an expiration date.
May I bring my baby while my older child partakes in other activities? Yes, there are plenty of spaces for babies to hang out (high chairs, comfy pillows, excersaucers) while the older children are involved with their age appropriate playgroups.
May I bring my own food to our Birthday Party? You are welcome to bring whatever you like. If however, you would like for Kidz Club to take care of everything, you have that option available to you as well. Please see the Birthday Parties page for more information on party options.
How do I know when to visit Kidz Club? When you stop in, take a schedule home with you and put it on your refrigerator and refer to it as often as needed. You may also visit this website for more up-to-date schedules. A reminder about class changes and schedule updates is sent via e-mail newsletter monthly
Will my child do well in a structured music class? Each child reacts differently on different days in different situations. We have a separate room for music class, so as not to distract the children with the toys on the play floor. The flow of the music class is meant to keep everyone busy even during transitions. Not every child has a good day, every day. If you need to step outside the room with your child for a moment, please feel free. We encourage you to come back in and enjoy the rest of the class too, we'll make room! We are all parents and we do understand.
